It doesn’t matter our age, music is a vital part of the ministry of the church! We will discuss how to continue to use our voices as we age, how to use music outside the church to minister to all ages, and being role models for future generations in Worship Leadership!

Benny Pate, Retired, Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Session 1 –  Today’s Senior Adults
Designing a ministry requires that we understand the target group.  This session will explore the characteristics of senior adults in the first quarter of the 21st century.

Sessions 2&3 – Swap Shop
Every church that has a senior adult program has discovered a strategy that really works.  Come prepared to tell of your program successes.  Bring examples and materials that you can share with others.  Be ready to learn new ways to minister to today’s senior adults.

God’s design for grandparents and methods of discipleship that grandparents can use to pass their faith to the next generation.

children navigate these challenges from a biblical worldview.

Kevin Wilson and GBMB Technology Team, Georgia Baptist Mission Board
Session 1   Technology for Senior Living
Consider many of the tasks that you want to accomplish each day. In most cases there is an app that will assist you in scheduling your day, paying your bills, and communicating with friends/family/physicians. There are apps to help you plan and book your vacation, find your lost car, alert you to severe weather and almost anything else you can think of. Join us to see how technology can be practical for senior living.

Sessions 2 & 3  Facebook – Do’s, Don’ts and How To’s
Facebook is one of the most popular apps for sharing your life with friends. Learn how to use it more wisely, safely and effectively. Discover how to set up family or friend groups, create a Facebook page, do live video, sell items, message your friends, all the while not revealing so much about yourself that you put yourself at risk.

Registration is open until February 12th but please get your leaders registered as soon as possible so that we may adequately prepare for all who attend.  Lunch and breaks are included.
